To install the new Operating System, proceed as follows described:

2 diskettes are required to update the Operating System 3.5 “formatted MS-DOS.

A. SAVING THE DATA CONTAINED IN THE INSTRUMENT’S MEMORY
The procedure for updating the Operating System deletes all data if necessary present in the memory (RAM) of the instrument.
Make sure that any changes or programming you have made have been saved disk before proceeding (see the SAVE ALL procedure in the manual).

B. CREATION OF THE NEW BOOT DISK
To create the new Boot disk, proceed as follows:
1. Take 2 new 3.5 inch floppies and format them to 1.44MB (DOS format)
2. Extract OS 1 and 2 into the newly formatted floppies.
3. Note the date of the disk with a pencil on the disk label new update (see Update Specifications: Date update).

C. UPDATING OF THE OPERATING SYSTEM
To load the new Operating System contained in the new Boot diskettes, proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the instrument.
2. Insert Disk number 1 into the drive.
3. Turn on the instrument.
4. When the message appears:
“Loading OS-DISK clears ALL MEMORY !! <Enter to load / Escape to abort>” press ENTER to start updating the Operating System.
5. When the message appears:
“INSERT NEXT OS-DISK please <Enter to load>” extract Disc number 1 and insert Disc number 2, then press ENTER to continue updating.
6. When the operation is completed, the instrument is placed in the environment by default (Style / RealTime).
At this point it is necessary to perform a system reset (UPPER 1 + 3 buttons of the PADS F #, G #, A #).
7. Remember to take Disc number 2 out of the drive and put away the system disks in a safe place.
