To install the DX Editor run dxeb400.exe. This is zipped in file LEM DX Editor.zip
The LEM products equipped with the digital processing DX BOARD, can be remotely controlled from a PC using the DX EDITOR software. The Beta Release 4.00 is now available, which allows not only the PEGASUS and POSEIDON systems, but also the DX26 plus, DX26 and DX 24 digital processors to be remotely controlled.
DX EDITOR can be installed in any PC with Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP.
ATTENTION!!!
If an older version of the DX EDITOR program is already installed on your PC, we suggest to UNINSTALL IT (from the WINDOWS Control Panel) before proceeding with the installation of the Release 4.00
All the instruction for the remote control of PEGASUS and POSEIDON systems are included in the product’s Owner’s Manuals. For the remote control of the DX 26 and DX 24 loudspeaker processors, follow the instructions included in the DXEreadme.txt file in the program’s installation directory.
IMPORTANT!!!
In order to use the DX EDITOR software for the remote control of the DX 24, the processor’s O.S. must be upgraded to the Release 2.00 or upper. The O.S. upgrade consists in the replacement of an EPROM memory and has to be done by a LEM Authorized Service Centre.
In order to use the DX EDITOR software for the remote control of the DX 26, the processor’s O.S. must be upgraded to the Release 2.00 or upper. The Release 2.00 upgrade file can be downloaded from our web site and the upgrade can be done from a PC using the serial connection.
In order to use the DX EDITOR software for the remote control of the DX 26 plus, the processor’s O.S. is right from the first release.
Troubleshooting!!
If Dxeditor is used to control a DX24 unit thru a MIDI interface, be sure your PC has not installed the “Generalmusic Serial MIDI Driver (Win9x)” or any similar driver from other brands onto the system.
