The GEM AS1, is a small and practical MIDI device which converts most conventional keyboards. It enables the user to play Arabic scales and micro-tuned notes without radical modifications. All that is requires is a MIDI interface on the keyboard, or MIDI module.
The GEM AS1 is extremely friendly thanks to it 12 Arabic scale memories, LCD display (showing the status of the functions), ‘one touch’ commands and no complex programming. It has 3 modes of operation, enabling a wide range of uses such a keyboards, MIDI setups to computers and sequencers.
